As we approach the close of 2024, CVLC has much for which to be grateful. Our ministry continues to grow and remains vibrant, touching the lives of those who worship (in person or online) and those beyond. And what joy it has been to welcome Pastor Courtney Noya as our second pastor on staff in time for the holidays!
We are grateful for the substantial financial support of CVLC’s ministry. Thank you! Although we need ongoing support, especially to continue a high level of programming, we are in good shape at the end of the year to cover this year’s ministry needs.
Some have asked about where there is a need for end-of-the-year gifts. In addition to our operating budget, CVLC finances the ministry through various funds. Looking ahead to 2025, three funds in particular stand out:
The Scholarship Fund: CVLC supports our college and vocational students in their studies. Over the years, we have given out thousands of dollars in educational grants.
The Ministry Fund: Innovations and new ideas often need funding outside the regular operating budget. This fund fosters creativity and new ministries. A recent example of its use was to fund the first year of the Widow and Widower Luncheons. A successful innovation, this ministry is now funded through the general budget.
The Victory Park Fund: CVLC is blessed to have a beautiful natural space where we can walk, worship, and play. This fund provides necessary resources to maintain and increase the park’s use. Earlier this year, we rebuilt a section of damaged decking.
Gifts to any funds received by December 31, 2024, will be recognized as 2024 contributions for tax purposes.
