Catholic until the Reformation, then Lutheran till 1945. The small chapel in front was built by the catholic King once the Lutherans took over for the small remaining catholic population.

- Osterlars Kirke – Bornholm, Denmark – an island in the Baltic Sea that is closer to Sweden than most of Denmark. The church (East Lars) is named for St Lawrence possibly built by the Knights Templar in the 11th century and is round with an observation tower. May have been a fortress at first. Flat Luther enjoyed seeing it.

- Flat Luther visited a Lutheran Church in Bergen, Norway build in 1632 on top of the ruins of the former bishop’s palace from decades before. The Angel hanging from the ceiling was lowered and a bowl placed in the wreath for Baptisms. The composer Edvard Greig was baptized here.
