Interested In Gardening With Preschoolers?

Dena Berglund, Robin Rudden, and Paige Giannetti of the Outreach Team are looking for once-a-month “worker bees” to help talk about and plant veggies, fruit, and herbs and also help water and weed at Guadalupe Center pres-schools in Immokalee (rides provided).  Our first planting was January 25, and our next session is February 15 (we’ll do it on Thursdays roughly monthly through May).  All you need to do is dress for gardening (with a hat and sunscreen) and bring a gardening tool and gloves.  You can chat with the kids about gardening, plants, healthy eating, and growing.  We aim to build relationships with the kids and provide them additional exposure to adults that complements their teachers’ curriculum.  Call or email Paige Giannetti (330-861-9944 or [email protected]) if you want a ride or have any questions.  (Pick up or meet at church at roughly 7:30 am to be back by 12:30-1:00pm. No gardening experience is required! Materials provided by CV Outreach).
