Christus Victor Lutheran Church has a legacy of encouraging and supporting education within and beyond the church. Through awarding scholarships each year, the church not only helps defray the costs of higher education but also seeks to affirm the participation of young people in the community’s life.
Eligibility:
The potential recipient must be accepted and enrolled in an institution of higher education, including, but not limited to, a public or private college or university or a post-secondary trade, technical, or vocational school or program. Applicants are eligible for only one (1) grant per calendar year.
Award:
One (1) scholarship will be granted for $1,000 to an outstanding Lee or Collier County resident. This student is an active participant in our larger community and shows need.
Application Process:
To be eligible, the applicant shall submit a complete application no later than April 1 of the calendar year. Please submit the following three parts:
- An application filled out by the student.
- A letter of recommendation from a place where you volunteered/served.
- An acceptance letter from your institution of higher learning.
The recommendation letter should highlight the applicant’s activity and service to the larger community. The first two parts of the letter are linked in the online application at CVLCFL.ORG.
The CVLC Scholarship Committee will decide on grants by May of the same year.
