It is a joy to announce that CVLC has a new staff member. Welcome Yvonne Worrel!
Yvonne brings essential skills and gifts, a warm personality, enthusiasm, and a desire to help in various ways.
The role of Parish Support is a new one at CVLC and has two parts. On Sunday morning, Yvonne will be opening and closing our building, making sure everything is set and ready to go for worship and hospitality, welcoming, available for any office-related questions, supporting volunteers, and overseeing operations to ensure all the parts are working together. You will see her “step in” where needed.
Yvonne will be at the front desk in the Church Office from Monday to Thursday. She will answer phones and greet you as you come to visit. Yvonne will provide logistical and computer support to various ministries, such as printing bulletins, updating electronic communications, contacting volunteers, uploading devotions, mailings, etc. The Parish Support position was designed to provide extra administrative support to both the Parish Administrator and the Pastor to free up time that could be invested in ministry.
Already, Yvonne has demonstrated that she is a gift to our community. I look forward to the ways that she will strengthen our ministry.
Be sure to greet Yvonne when you see her, whether on a Sunday or during regular office hours (she will be working 8 am to 2 pm, Monday to Thursday). Introduce yourself and share a warm welcome.
